What a crazy week it”s been – my baby brother (in that photo up there holding Hanna) got engaged, I’ve spent several days helping to make somewhat historically accurate Bethlehem houses for our church’s Christmas decorations (as accurate as can be with royal icing and styrofoam, of course), made a trip to our local Children’s Hospital ER (watching a child deal with chronic pain is a truly awful thing), went to the town Christmas parade (where we almost blew away) and I’ve been fighting a little cold weather funk (I don’t want to cook or clean or workout or do much of anything except sit on the couch and read).
I’ve got 3 blog posts started that I just can’t seem to finish – two in particular that I’ve been wanting to write for weeks and that I thought would pour forth from my brain, easy peasy.
A little more simmering still to do. I’m hoping they’ll be ready to publish sometime this next week, and for a little more inspiration in general.
These next few weeks are just going to be crazy and I’m trying to figure out how best to get through them. My desire, as always, is for a quiet and simply holiday season.
It’s not going to happen, so I’m going to seek simplicity amongst the business as best I can.
Today, though, I’m going to set that all aside and just enjoy Friday.
How about you?
